San Diego, CA based company providing independent administrative services to hedge funds is in search of a Sr. Hedge Fund Accountant.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. The individual will be responsible for calculating the monthly net asset values of various hedge funds using statements and information received from the prime broker and the hedge fund manager.
 

2. This process will involve reconciling transactions related to the investment portfolio, dividends and interest, corporate actions, and investor capital activity.

3. The individual will be responsible for dealing with requests from and communicating with the investment manager and investors regarding all aspects of the accounts operation.

4. Additional responsibilities will include updating accounting and client relationship management systems, updating and verifying statistical information, preparing financial statements, and working with external auditors.

5. This individual will also be maintaining client information on the web and participating in special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

4 yr. Bachelors Degree (accounting or finance preferred).  Qualified candidates will typically have 2 - 3 years of previous general ledger accounting and financial reporting experience, demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy, analytical, technical, organizational, and problem solving skills.
