This position is accountable for accounting activities associated with maintaining accounts and for developing financial statements and reports. This position will focus upon working closely with operations in the compilation of month-end reports and in the generation of process improvements.  Duties include the following:Prepare, checks and reviews periodic financial reports including monthly financial results, forecasts and account reconciliations Participate in monthly, mid-year and annual closing process Identify accounting problems, researches possible solutions and forms conclusions to present to management Prepare and/or reviews interpretations of financial results. Advises management on the meaning of the results.  Bring inconsistencies and problems to attention of management. Research possible solutions, and forms conclusions to present to those involved Ensure systems and procedures are in compliance with company policies and acceptable accounting practices. Review and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records.


Requirements:A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.  A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience is required.
