Major brands include Checkpoint, Creative Solutions and RIA.   The Senior Editor will acquire and edit, or write, publishable editorial analysis and/or explanations of tax (and related) law that reflects a very high degree of knowledge, insight, and practical experience in accordance with WG&L Journals editorial standards and schedules. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Timely publication, in print and on the web, of tax journals for tax, accounting, and corporate professionals. Maintaining broad professional relationships with top-level members of legal and accounting tax communities, and using those contacts to acquire cutting-edge articles for tax journals. Keeping abreast of the research needs and practices of tax journals markets. Review Web content and functionality on a regular basis. JD degree or CPA certification. LLM or other advanced degree in tax preferred. Strongly prefer  2-4 years experience as an attorney or CPA in federal income, estate, and gift taxes. Editorial experience with professional publications and knowledge of electronic and print publication processes a plus.  Tax expertise required, as are strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.  Ability to manage and develop outside authors, and to effectively interact with members of Technology, Operations, Marketing and Sales groups.
