POSITION: Senior Credit and Collections Clerk

REPORTS TO: Vivian Lee, Credit Manager  

DEPARTMENT:    Accounts Receivable

HOURS:   8:00 AM – 5:00 PM and as necessary  

HIRING SALARY RANGE:  $13.00-$15.00

 

Responsibilities/Purpose: Under the direction of the Credit Manager is responsible for processing and verifying applications for credit and solicits payment on overdue accounts.

 

Essential Functions: Processes and verifies applications for credit and solicits payment on overdue accounts. Compiles necessary information from financial institutions such as banks and credit organizations. Responsibilities include keeping records of all delinquent accounts, incomplete files, and credit risks.  Is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the credit and collections field. Verifies and posts account receivable transactions, follows established procedure for processing receipts, cash etc.  May prepare bank deposits. 

 

Essential Requirements:

 

Education: High School Diploma required, some college preferred.

 

Experience:  2-4 years experience in credit, collections or accounts receivable or related field required.

 

Abilities:  Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills required. Strong communication skills both verbal and written required.  Ability to exercise discretion and business ethics is required.  Intermediate math skills required.  Knowledge of Microsoft office suite of products required (word, excel, etc). Solid judgment and creativity are required.
