Senior Collections Specialist

Smith & Associates, a privately leader in the distribution of electronic components has a very important opening of a Collections Supervisor.

 Job Purpose: To efficiently manage and collect  accounts for Smith & Associates worldwide

Smith & Associates is a world leader in the distribution of electronic components.  We are a privately held international company with world wide customers and suppliers. 

The chosen candidate will need to have direct experience collecting large sums of money from corporations, not individuals. This candidate will need to have top communication skills while dealing internally with sales and purchasing personnel as well as other credit managers in solving worldwide disputes.

Experience needs to include 3-5 years of corporate collections and the success in handling portfolios in the amount of $100 million and 1,200 + accounts.

 Essential Job Duties:

. Responsible for the reconciliation and collection of all A/R including customer support, problem solving and dispute resolution.

·  Conduct analysis of A/R and prepare collection reports and cash forecasting reports

·  Retrieve daily cash receipt reports from the bank.

·  Backup for handling, coding and posting cash receipts.

· Work with sales personnel and other Smith credit managers world wide to collect and resolve disputed accounts

· Mail monthly statements to all customers.

· Review all accounts with Treasurer on a monthly basis to determine need for legal action.

 

 

Job Qualifications

Experience:

3-5 years corporate collections experience (some international preferred)

Portfolio management of $ 50-100MM

Experience working with a large customer base, preferably 1200-1500 clients

Heavy invoicing on all accounts
