Senior Auditor for a Fortune 500 Global Company
Fortune 500 global company is in search of an experienced Senior Internal Auditor. Qualified candidate will assist in delivering a systematic, disciplined approach of evaluating and improving the effectiveness of control, governance, and risk management processes. Will report directly to the Manager of Internal Audit. This is to be considered a management grooming position with mandatory rotation out into another group in the business. Responsibilities: · Understand and apply the company’s internal controls and accounting policies, as well as GAAP accounting and GAAS auditing standards · Develop and utilize knowledge of the company’s information systems and their applications· Contribute to continuing risk assessment · Evaluate and improve on the effectiveness and efficiency of the audit process by continually challenging and improving our audit approach and procedures· Complete assignments in a timely and complete fashion · Utilize exposure gained from assignments to build knowledge of the company’s business for future opportunities outside of Internal Audit Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field· Progress towards professional certification, CPA or CIA preferred· Extensive experience at one of the following: “Big” or large regional public accounting firm Internal Audit experience from a large, manufacturing entitiesIf you would like to be considered for this role please submit your resume to Caroline Kaplan, carolinekaplan@spherion.com or contact Caroline directly at 610-337-1113 Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
