Senior Auditor

Meets with the Senior Manager regularly to plan audits and to review the audit reports.

Designs internal audit procedures to ensure compliance with company policies.

Collects and analyzes data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud or non compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.

Examines and evaluates financial information systems, recommending controls to ensure system reliability and data integrity.

Executes audits of ZIM and agents' (throughout the Americas) processes as directed by management.

Provides written reports on all audits with specific documentation on control weaknesses and loopholes, and with formal recommendations for process/control improvement.

Collects responses from the audited areas and works with the audited areas to implement the recommended improvements.

Documents that all audit recommendations have been implemented or otherwise addressed


Education and/or Experience

Bachelors degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Other Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of audit procedures, including planning, techniques, test and sampling methods involved in conducting audits.

Knowledge of computerized accounting and auditing record keeping systems.

Ability to gather, analyze and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise written reports

Ability to establish and retain effective working relationship with other staff and to communicate clearly and effectively.


Computer Skills 

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; expertise in use of database-driven system (SAP Preferred).
