Senior Associate, Federal Advisory

Advisory professionals are able to provide relevant industry and functional skills where they need them most. We are currently seeking a Senior Associate to join us in our Washington, DC office. Responsibilities: * Utilize analytical reasoning skills and provide feedback to improve processes * Review and interpret accounting data * Develop new processes and/or improve upon existing processes * Develop written reports * Advise client on technical accounting issues * Utilize project management skills Qualifications: * BA/BS degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited college/university * Eligible to obtain a security clearance within a reasonable amount of time; applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information * One year of experience with government accounting or auditing * Proficiency with MS Windows applications, specifically MS Project * Demonstrated documentation skills * Working knowledge of internal controls * Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret data and provide practical feedback to develop process improvements * Ability to perform research and provide recommendations * Strong verbal and written communication skills KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
