Taleo continues to solidify our leadership position as the leading provider of enterprise level workforce solutions with forward thinking global organizations.  Our continued growth has resulted in an exciting opportunity within the Finance department.  The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the following areas: 

· Prepare monthly account reconciliations

· Record select company financial information in accordance with GAAP

· Interaction with international book-keepers for the daily and monthly maintenance of the international subsidiary accounting

· Provide financial analysis and documentation, including monthly reporting on account variances.

· Creation and processing of journal entries for subsequent postings to the general ledger

· Assisting with audit, including preparing required schedules and reconciliation reports

· Assist with SOX related testing and compliance

· Posting and reconciling of monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals

· Assisting with ad hoc requests for financial information and analysis

· Review and maintain monthly journal entry log and ensure proper approvals were acquired

· Support of fixed asset sub-ledger and reconciliation

· Support accounting group with other functions as needed.

 

Qualifications:BS/BA degree in relevant discipline 5-7 years of general ledger experience, plus experience working in a publicly traded company required.  Prior experience with a software company a plus. Accounting certification(s) a plus. Excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications and experience in ERP applications (Lawson, Oracle, Peoplesoft, Siebel) Exceptional technical, analytical, and oral/written communication skills Must be a team player with customer driven skills Demonstrated ability to problem solve and think through work around alternatives Proven ability to multi-task,  prioritize, and meet deadlines Strong work ethic combined with a high level of professionalism Experience with Sarbanes Oxley a plus Overtime as required specifically for monthly/quarterly closing timelines
