Senior Accountant / Reporting / Special Projects

Large manufacturing company is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their dynamic team.  This individual will develop, interpret, and implement complex financial and accounting concepts or techniques for financial planning and control by performing the following duties:

Uses Essbase and Excel to compile and prepare complex journal entries for posting to SAP. Reconciles 30+ accounts. Develops, maintains and updates intricate Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and managerial files utilizing Essbase/Excel. Prepares month end managerial reports. Manages the accounting of the royalty process by thoroughly reviewing existing Licensing Contracts, accounting for guarantees and advances, and preparing monthly and quarterly statements and payments. Prepares Sales Tax entries and processes payment. Maintains Microsoft Access media amortization database.

Key Duties
Coordinates and initiates all wires transfers. Supports the budgeting process. Prepares analysis as needed for internal and external customers. Ensures SOX compliance relating to Financial Processes. Assists in internal and external financial, SOX, and tax audits. Disseminates financial data to internal and external customers timely. Maintains petty cash - reconciles and keys at month-end. Manages miscellaneous cash deposits. Provides back up for the Senior Financial Analyst.

Education
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) of Accountancy or Finance from four-year university.
CPA or equivalent work experience.

Skill Set
Advanced Excel required, working knowledge of an Accounting Program such as SAP and a working knowledge of Microsoft Access.  Plans and performs complex work where only general policies or procedures are available. Provides analysis and makes recommendations regarding revenue and expense based on self-generated spreadsheets
