Senior Accountant (Pipeline)

Our two core businesses are Pipelines, and Exploration and Production. Our 42,000-mile interstate pipeline system transports more than one-quarter of daily natural gas consumption in the country. We explore for and produce natural gas across the U.S., and in the Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, and Egypt.

 

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Tennessee Gas Pipeline's Property Accounting department.  Candidate will be responsible for asset related activities (depreciation, retirements, ARO, etc.) for regulated pipeline company including running monthly system processes, recording monthly journals and preparing variance analysis. 

 

Responsibilities will also include monthly balance sheet reconciliation, quarterly/annual tax and audit requests, preparation of pages for FERC Form 3Q and Form 2, and annual Exhibit Y abandonment filing.  Candidate will also be responsible for maintenance of and compliance with Sarbanes Oxley process documentation, net book value calculation as requested and special projects as assigned. Follow appropriate GAAP and FERC accounting policies as mandated.
