Senior Accountant / GL Accountant

Responsible for timely and accurate processing of payroll for 150+ employees using ADP. Includes processing employee salary changes, status changes (new hires and terminations), tax changes, deductions, direct deposits, tracking of PTO and meeting all government reporting requirements for payroll taxes, withholdings and employer contributions. Perform annual reconciliation of W2s Prepare all payroll related government reports Responsible for timely processing of 401k funding and various 401k reporting requirements Responsible for timely and accurate ESPP deduction tracking and reporting Maintain appropriate policies and procedures for payroll processing in support of Sarbanes Oxley compliance and process payroll in accordance with established policies. Lead identification and recommendation of any process improvements in the payroll area. Perform general accounting tasks such as recording amortization of prepaid expenses and deferred rent and generating journal entries for standard accruals Perform certain balance sheet reconciliations (including bank reconciliations) Perform fixed asset accounting processes (acquisition, depreciation, disposition, and inventory) and assist in the maintenance of policies and procedures for fixed asset transactions Prepare and assist in preparation of monthly closing reports, quarterly review and annual audits Prepare various tax returns including sales and use tax, property tax, and 1099s Perform adhoc analysis and other projects as required Job Experience: call for details, Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including payroll, accounts payable, etc. Knowledge of payroll rules and regulations Knowledge and exposure to Sarbanes Oxley environment inSearchable Keywords: call for details, Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including payroll, accounts payable, etc. Knowledge of payroll rules and regulations Knowledge and exposure to Sarbanes Oxley environment in / gj-moSalary/Pay Rate: $65K - $75K About Ajilon Ajilon Professional Staffing is a leader in recruiting and project consulting, with specialty divisions in finance & accounting, management & office support, and legal.
