Senior Accountant (Fixed Assets)

The Mergis Group is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant for a well-established client in the West Palm Beach area!JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain asset management database which includes entering transfers, sales, disposals, additions, adjustments and impairments, adjustments from station inventories, running monthly asset activations, disposal and depreciation/amortization procedures Maintain work-in-progress files, communicate with senior asset accountant and regional engineers on project status Perform quarterly reconciliation of asset manager to general ledger, review any variances with senior asset accountant, write up any necessary journal entries to be reviewed by senior asset accountant prior to posting  EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience 3 - 5 years in fixed assets and accounting Thorough knowledge of Excel, hot-keys necessary Detail oriented Excellent communication, writing and organizational skills Must have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines Experience working in Platinum ERA/Epicor and the Asset Management Module a plus Ability to work productively with very little supervision Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
