We are currently looking for a bright, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual who prefers working in a small firm. We are located in Columbia, Maryland.

The IDEAL CANDIDATE can bring to the table: Experience performing financial statement reviews and/or audits Experience working with government contractors and service industries Experience reviewing corporate and pass-through entity tax returns Experience converting accrual basis financials to cash or tax basis Experience in financial analysis and budgeting Experience with QuickBooks, DELTEK, Trial Balance Solutions, Engagement Solution, MS Office 2007, and ProSeries Understanding of complex reporting issues such as deferred tax and stock-based compensation Ability to decipher complex reconciliation problems CPA or meets requirements to sit for CPA exam In-depth knowledge of GAAP, FAR, and DCAA requirements Ability to communicate reports of results, findings, improvements and recommendations both orally and written, on an executive-level Motivation as a team player with a focus on a career in accounting

The MINIMUM MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS for this position are: Bachelors degree or higher in accounting or financial management 3+ years senior-level accounting work experience Prior employment with public accounting firm or government contractor 3 solid professional references to validate accounting experience Professionalism, good work ethics, and advanced analytical skills
