Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager - Consulting Services

Rally Software Development (www.rallydev.com) located in Boulder, Colorado is a dynamic, growing company that provides software-driven enterprises a complete solution of knowledge, coaching and tooling to succeed with Agile, the next generation of software development practices.

 

Due to our exponential growth, we are seeking a motivated Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager to manage the end-to-end service accounting process including:  SOW (Statement of Work) reviews, generating bills, reconciling service general ledger accounts and performing related financial variance analysis.

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Work closely with the services department to:  review delivered engagements for billing, identify billable items, follow-up on billing documentation, and resolve any open items.

· Obtain all supporting documentation to generate service billings.

· Review and approve SOWs (Statement of Work) for pricing.

· Address customer inquiries related to invoices.

· Update and maintain Open Air (service project management system).

· Reconcile all services related general ledger accounts.

· Perform a financial analysis on variances between budget and actual.

· Identify and implement process improvements.

· Work closely with AP in assisting the AMEX reconciliation and coordinating the reimbursement of billable expenses.

· Reconcile Agile University receipts and related general ledger accounts.

 

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.

· 5+ years of experience with a public/private mix strongly desired, but not required.

· Experience in successful collaboration with multiple departments in current or previous jobs.

· Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.

· Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

· Comfortable working autonomously as well as part of a team.

· Prior experience with consulting services accounting a plus.
