Senior A/P Accountant

CITY/STATE: Washington, DC 20036POSITION TYPE: Full Time, EmployeeJOB CATEGORY: Accounting/Finance/InsuranceSALARY: 65,000.00 - 75,000.00 USD /year Senior A/P Accountant     Ledgent is assisting a large, international financial reporting and monitoring firm with their search for a Senior A/P Accountant.  This individual will work as part of a large A/P team, be responsible for mentorship of junior team members and be a go to person for challenging vendor questions/issues.Responsibilities: Prepare accruals for accounts payable accounts Reconcile to the general ledger Maintain cash requirements schedules and accounts payable aging analysis Perform general ledger posting and monthly/year-end reconciliation Close all A/P accounts monthly Resolve discrepancies and errors for vendor accounts Recruit, develop and supervise AP staff Working knowledge of large ERP systems and advanced Excel skills are a must.Qualifications:Candidates should have at least five years of experience supervising the AP function and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.  Individuals need solid communication, organizational and people skills.  ERP systems knowledge is a plus.  A college degree in accounting or related area is preferred.About Ledgent Search Group Ledgent Search Group specializes in the placement of Accounting, Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Audit professionals with top companies in every industry nationwide.
