SR. ACCOUNTANT/ REAL ESTATE--STRONG CONTRACT REVIEW EXP. NEEDED!!!
Summary:
A senior accountant is responsible for providing guidance and assistance to staff accountants. The senior accountant will record and perform analysis of complex transactions; perform first line review of analyses, journal entries and bank reconciliations completed by staff accountants; identify accounting issues; coordinate and implement resolutions; and provide accounting support to an accounting manager.
Education - Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from a four-year college or university together with 4-6 years experience in accounting. Prefer experience with some advanced accounting concepts such as accounting for financing offerings, investments in joint ventures, foreign currency translation, accounting for forward contracts (derivatives), deferred compensation issues, and other transactions outside the course of core operations.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and complex business documents and to respond to inquiries or complaints from internal customers or management. Ability to author reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from groups of managers or other internal customers.
Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. Knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures.
