SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - direct hire search

This newly created position is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, growth-oriented person to join the team!Description of Function and Responsibilities:This position will be aid in the end-to-end management and coordination of the critical activities associated with month-end financial processing and will act as the liaison between Finance, Real Estate, Network Operations and Engineering. Responsibilities encompass both hands-on duties, and presentation of results to management. Specific duties include: Highly motivated, a self-starter with demonstrated leadership qualities. Knowledge of detailed financial analysis including journal entry preparation, variance analysis and budget-to-actual explanations, Fixed Asset analysis and reporting including Capital Expenditure analysis. Monitor internal control procedures for compliance with Corporate accounting policies including recommendations to increase efficiencies. Ensure that financial information is reported in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Act as Finance Department liaison with functional areas of the organization. Fixed Asset analysis and reporting including Capital Expenditure analysis. Assist in providing ad hoc management and financial reporting as required. Ability to work independently, making decisions and providing recommendations in compliance with GAAP to ensure financial integrity. Qualifications: 3+ years of financial accounting experience Excellent written and oral communication skills. Advanced PC skills; including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications-Word, Excel, and Access, database applications. Accomplished in use of major accounting software. Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase is considered a plus. CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
