Location: New York, NY 10001Your location:home   »  find a job   »  advanced search   »  job description Apply Online Send this Job to a Friend SENIOR ACCOUNTANT-BULGE BRACKET/HEDGE FUND SECTOR Our client is looking to add a SENIOR ACCOUNTANT to their group responsible for 75 funds, participating in a variety of markets both onshore and offshore. The right candidate is genuinely interested in learning about different products, taking on more responsibility and growing within the organization. Responsibilities: Maintain accounting and taxation records for onshore and offshore hedge fund partnerships and corporations, trading in all types of investment securities and products. Calculate monthly NAV for reporting to investors and processing of investor subscription and withdrawal activity. Calculate gains and losses for investors and accrue manageme4nt and performance fees payable to Hedge Fund managers. Preparation of financial statements and taxation returns. Liaison with hedge fund managers, prime brokers, custodians and investors. Maintain primary accounting records for hedge fund management companies. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferred. 2 plus years experience working with Hedge Funds. Auditing background in Financial Services will be considered. Public Accounting background is a plus. Excellent communication skills.
