SAP Analyst FICO
Our very large manufacturing client located in the East San Gabriel Valley is seeking a SAP Analyst focused on the FI/CO modules with an accounting background or degree.
Job Title: SAP FI/CO Analyst
Description:
The SAP FI/CO Analyst works independently with direction from Director of Applications and Programming. The primary responsibilities of the SAP FI/CO analyst include production support of the existing SAP solution with focus on financial accounting and controlling business processes, continuous improvement of financial accounting and controlling business processes and expansion of the existing SAP solution for future acquisitions.
The scope of the position covers SAP FI/CO processes area including (but is not limited to) GL, CO, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Project Systems, Treasury and reporting. The SAP Analyst provides assistance and training to others within the IT department and interfaces with user community, consultants and company management.
Responsibilities:Champion implementing and promoting the best practices in the SAP FI/CO business process areaManage the processes for outstanding issues resolution and system enhancement initiatives with appropriate prioritiesGather new business requirements and manage the implementation of the corresponding SAP enablers to meet the new requirementsLead and manage the expansion of the existing SAP solution to future acquisitions of new businessesDevelop project plans and manage work load to complete on-time and on-budgetCreate documentation and conduct business user trainingWork with the technical (ABAP) team for reporting and other development requirementsProvide unit testing and transport approvals; create and execute test plansCoordinate and lead FI/CO status meetings to provide status to the project management team and the executive teamTravel as needed for special meetings, training or requirements gatheringComply with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics
Requirements:Three to five years of experience designing, building and implementing business solutions in financial accounting and controlling process area using a formal/structured methodologyDeep understanding of the best practices in the financial accounting and controlling process areas and their corresponding enablement by standard SAP FI/CO (ECC 6.0 preferred) functionalityBasic functional knowledge of common financial interfaces (i.e. Bank, Tax, Lockbox, cash management)Clear experience in conducting business requirement gathering workshops and design sessionsComfortable managing multiple assignments Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to business peopleGood team skills across different technical groups to ensure co-ordination of the solution and its deliveryExceptional customer service skills
Education and/or experience required:
Undergraduate degree in financial or management accounting
Experience with implementing business systems to enable financial business processes.
