Retirement Plan Specialist Manager

Our client, one of the largest CPA and business-consulting firms in the Midwest is currently seeking an experienced Manager for their Retirement Plan Services. This is a permanent position with our client and they offer a very attractive salary combined with a great benefit package.

This position is responsible for day-to-day management of a Defined Contribution 401K Retirement Plan Administration team, and provides plan administration support to clients.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:Manages the activities of a retirement plan administration team by assigning projects and clients to plan administrators, monitoring performance and ensuring completion of all aspects of plan administration.
Trains staff in use of software and established policies and procedures, reviews staff work and assists plan administrators with complex issues.
Maintains client relationships by meeting periodically with clients to ensure that services are provided as expected, and that value added consulting opportunities are managed and proactively provided when available.
Reviews, interprets and maintains legal documents in order to ensure plan compliance with current IRS/DOL regulations.
Demonstrates ability to prioritize work and manage time for staff, manage project timelines and budgets, and fosters positive interaction between associates. Able to perform all aspects of retirement plan administration.

Experience Requirements:Excellent communication and customer service skills. Bachelors degree with major in Business or related field. Perference is given to ASPPA or similar designation of QKA or higher. 10 years of Defined Contribution - 401K - retirement plan administrative experience 2+  years of experience in managing staff Knowledge of Relius software systems, multiple investment company platforms, and plan document management systems.
