Retail Accounting Supervisor
SUMMARY The Retail Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the retail accounting function. Emphasis will be placed on resolving receiving discrepancies, performing retail inventories and month-end reconciliations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Perform daily functions of the retail receiving/accounting area.
2. Resolve receiving discrepancies.
3. Coordinate RTV with vendors and track for credits.
4. Resolve cost and retail price discrepancies.
5. Process invoices for payment. Review invoices for proper coding.
6. Reconcile Trial balance with Dataworks and prepare payable accruals as required.
7. Participate in and reconcile all retail inventories.
8. Participate in training and development of receiving/accounting clerks.
9. Perform other accounting/receiving duties at management's direction.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 2 years of accounting or related field experience; supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
