Position: Remittance Service Representative

Overview: Remittance and Image Processing employees are responsible for processing incoming healthcare payments on behalf of our clients.

Job Description: The Remittance Service Representative is responsible for processing incoming healthcare payments within department established turn around times. This requires organizing, subtotaling, creating, tracking and distributing payment batches to be posted and any other check related processing requirements.

The preferred schedule for this position includes weekdays, plus Saturdays as a regular work day (10am-4pm) and would allow the employee to have another weekday off. We would also prefer candidates who can accommodate a flexible schedule between 7:30 am and 7:30pm, working an 8 or 10 hour shift on the days they are working. Hours available may depend upon specific job duties.

Job Responsibilities:
• Sorting and distributing incoming mail
• Prepare checks received for entry into the Remittance Processing System
• Receive, prepare and create batches
• Identify, separate and process time sensitive correspondence
• Commitment to achieving mastery of the role, minimum expectation of 12 months
• Accept full ownership of special work and/or project assignments
• Fully participate in the drive to accomplish all department and corporate goals
• Become an engaged, and active participant in athena health's teaching and learning culture

• Strong mathematical skills
• Current computer skills including MS-Office and internet research ability
• Ten Key proficiency
• Willingness and ability to perform repetitive tasks without losing focus
• Ability to maintain poise and a sense of humor in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Benefits: This position will earn an hourly wage, plus a potential bonus driven by individual, department and company success.
