Transamerica Life Insurance Company, an AEGON company, is a leader in the worldwide insurance industry for over 40 years.  AEGON is an international pension, insurance and financial services organization.  Transamerica is located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where approximately 3200 individuals are employed.

 

This position will be located in the Transamerica Capital Markets (TCM) division. TCM is one of the nations leading providers of annuity and life insurance products to banks, wirehouses, broker/dealers, and institutional clients. In Cedar Rapids, TCM primarily manufactures, administers, and services annuity products issued by several AEGON USA operating companies. 

 

This person independently creates and files Securities and Exchange Commission "SEC" mandated variable product forms across multiple business units.  Develops and researches new product concepts and applies them to the filing process.

 

Requirements:

·  Effectively communicates with other business units, departments and staff to meet required service level standards in relationship to product development.

·  Must be able to work independently.

·  Creatively executes and coordinates all processes of a filing from start to finish.

·  Assists in developing and implementing new processes that will allow the team to function more efficiently.

·  Works with appropriate Counsel to provide timely and accurate responses to SEC comments related to registered product features and disclosure. 

·  Assists in interpretation of Federal rules, laws and regulations to determine the effect on new and existing registered products.

·  Creates and submits federal securities required filings with the SEC.

·  Maintain files for multiple federal securities required filings.

·  Work with Legal and Compliance to assist in the coordination of responses to litigation, market conduct and regulatory exam requests.

·  Provides skilled advice and knowledge regarding federal securities required filings.

·  Guides other Registered Product Specialists in support of product development.

·  Compliance with IMSA Code of Ethics. 

 

 Qualifications 

·  Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required. 

·  3+ years industry/regulatory experience with an emphasis on product knowledge is preferred. 

·  Knowledge of fixed and variable annuities is preferred. 

·  Paralegal background a plus. 

·  Strong analytical skills needed. 

 

 

The salary range for this position is $38,000.00-$50,000.00-$63,000.00.
