Purchasing Card Associate

Allegis Group, Inc. - Corporate Location: Hanover, MD 21076 Salary: 14.00 - 16.00 USD /hour Position Type: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Insurance Purchasing Card Associate Job Description: OVERVIEW A self starter, this position requires minimal and/or no supervision and relies heavily on the individual to be able to manage several tasks concurrently; while setting precedent on time management and applicable deadlines. GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThis position is responsible for reviewing the purchasing card transactions and ensuring proper coding of such. This position is the field office first point of contact for purchasing card related issues and questions and is responsible for monthly reconciliation of each assigned purchasing card account. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY 1. Departmental and branch office point of contact for all purchasing card inquiries and issues. 2. Responsible for daily audit of all pcard transactions for proper GL coding, approval and policy adherence. 3. Responsible for communicating misuse of card immediately to Pcard Team Leader, the cardholder and the cardholder’s supervisor. 4. Directly accountable for meeting transaction review deadlines to achieve accurate and timely financial reporting. 5. Responsible for educating cardholders on pertinent policy guidelines. 6. Responsible for mailing purchasing cards to cardholders and assigning/maintaining logon ID’s to online transaction review site for cardholders to review transactions. 7. Work with corporate approvers to ensure efficient approval and payment process. 8. Code invoices paid on the corporate AP pcard and update vouchers in PeopleSoft. 9. Run weekly pcard detail. 10. Assist with auditing AP voucher detail. 11. Provide assistance to the Team Leader with projects and tasks. MINIMUM TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS 1) AA degree or 2 yrs related business experience.2) Excellent customer service skills.3) Must be detail oriented, organized, analytical, and able to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.4) Qualified candidate will be flexible team player who enjoys working either independently and/or with other team members.5) Strong knowledge of Microsoft office programs and related computer skills.
