Purchasing Associate for Environmentally Friendly Paper Co.

Regal Poly & Paper Co. is located in the City of Commerce is a medium size paper distributor servicing supermarkets and the food service industry. We are a busy, fast paced, friendly office currently hiring Purchasing Associate.

We are looking for a responsible, reliable, detail oriented individual with excellent follow through, phone and communication skills who has the ability to multi task. Should have distributor experience and Spanish bi-lingual a plus.

Responsibilities include:



 

• Develop and maintain excellent supplier relations.

• Work with sales representatives and other personnel to fully define and understand their requirements.

• Select, place and enter orders with appropriate suppliers.

• Establish additional sources where feasible.

• Assist in negotiating pricing, terms and conditions with suppliers.

• Track supplier on-time delivery and quality performance, providing feedback to both the company management         and the suppliers.

• Work with management to keep inventories at the most cost effective levels.

• Identify areas for potential cost savings or avoidance.

• Expedite when needed.
