Property Accountant
The Property Accountant is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly accruals and ad-hoc requests as required.
General Responsibilities:
*
Full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
*
Prepare weekly quick pay/cheque runs.
*
Maintain PO spreadsheet and investigate vendor queries.
*
Complete accruals and analyze monthly variance for properties.
*
Prepare and analyze weekly cash report and assist in determining investment amounts.
*
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
*
Update tenant information in Yardi software.
*
Prepare budgets for properties.
*
Assist with audit package.
*
Prepare yearly rental invoices for tenants.
*
Complete year-end operating cost reconciliations for properties and prepare invoices for tenants.
Qualifications:
*
Accounting Diploma or degree, and 4 years experience in accounting or 3 years experience in property
*
accounting.
*
The ideal candidate would be pursuing an accounting degree/designation.
*
Solid knowledge of accounting procedures and practices as well as full cycle accounting processes.
*
Comfortable with MS Office Suite.
*
Experience with Yardi software is considered an asset.
Salary:
$48,000 - $52,000
