Project Staff/Senior Accountant

Company located near Palo Alto is seeking an experienced candidate to join its team.Job Description Prepare monthly journal entries, account analysis and explain month end, quarterly and yearly financial performance - Assist with monthly close - Assist with preparation of quarterly and year end audit and tax schedules - Ensure timely and accurate financial data Responsible for all Payroll, vacation and HR related accounting  Administration of benefits Assist in booking all month end project related journal entries for actual and for accruals Balance Sheet Reconciliation Fixed Asset Bank reconciliation Process all employee expense reports Process non-project related payables Maintain billing schedule and pipeline report Maintain internal accounting worksheet as project budget changes Close out internal accounting worksheet and post variance to pipeline report Account Reconciliation and analysis Perform special financial analysis Assist with special projects, as needed other duties as assigned  Qualifications 5+ years experience in an Accountant role Strong General Ledger month-end close experience Project or professional services accounting experiences required ** Experience working with Great Plains accounting system Strong Excel skills Must work well independently with the ability to analyze, investigate and resolve accounting related issues Strong communication, customer service and organization skills BS in Accounting with a concentration in Accounting, strong working knowledge of GAAP and their application Accountants Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
