Project Controls Engineer IV

Project Controls Engineer IV (Full-time; Unaccompanied)

 

This position is located in the Marshall Islands. You must be willing to relocate.

 

Responsibilities:

Performs cost estimating, analysis, and control activities, as directed.  Performs schedule development, maintenance, and monitoring activities, as directed.  Leads cost engineering and/or planning and scheduling activities, when delegated.  Reports to and receives technical and operational supervision from designated supervisory personnel. Maintains relationships with project personnel, particularly with individual discipline group leaders and engineers in the home office and at jobsites.

 

Develops cost/schedule data for proposals or contracts.  Performs cost data analysis and development.  Identifies work scope, schedules, and estimates and the execution and completion of all deliverables within budget and schedule.  Ensures that a performance baseline is maintained and configuration controlled through the use of approved change control procedures.  Identifies cost trends and schedule impacts for management attention, and recommends corrective action.  Coordinates, reviews, and/or approves budgets, cost estimates, schedules, and related documents.  Ensures that adequate funding is available for scope execution; and monitors estimates at completion and reports potential funding issues.

 

Requirements: Education and/or Experience:

 

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline plus a minimum of 8 years progressive experience in Project Controls, Project Management, baseline development and management or budget formulation.

 

 

Requirements: Special Knowledge and/or Training:

 

Requires a proven experienced level of understanding and competency in Controls theory, techniques and practices associated with baseline development and management, and funds management.  Requires knowledge of baseline configuration, management, schedule development, estimates at completion, earned value, and funds management.  Requires knowledge and use of applicable software including: Primavera or MS Project and cost processors (e.g. Cobra). Must be expert in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint.  Must possess good organizational skills; strong verbal and written communications skills; and the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management, both within internal ad external KRS.
