Applicant should have 5-7 years of casualty underwriting/marketing experience, proficient computer skills (i.e. MS Word Applications - Word/Outlook/Excel); excellent analytical & problem solving skills, effective negotiation skills, current broker relationships, and sound general insurance background. Experience with primary general liability lines or umbrella & excess lines or both is highly desirablable. Applicant must enjoy and thrive in a fast paced environment and be prepared to make speedy decisions. Should also have the ability to analyze the risk and coverage forms as well as possess excellent marketing skills. Attention to detail is very important as well as the ability to generate new business sources and negotiate through competitive obstacles to close the deal.About AIG: American International Group, Inc.
