Product Controller - VP

As a Product Controller you will provide accounting and finance support to the Loan Syndication, Credit Products Origination Businesses within the Fixed Income Division.  Product coverage includes High Grade/Leveraged Loans, Bonds, CDS, and LCDS as well as other fixed income products, with a primary focus in Loan Syndications.  Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities consist of closing the books and reporting financial information on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to various internal and external parties  emphasize on production of daily P/L, price verification, month-end close, balance sheet substantiation, yield analysis, and various GL to reported reconciliations.  Position will require candidate to leverage existing knowledge of accounting principals and product experience to complete revenue recognition process and/or coordination of documentation flow from multiple areas.  Sub systems used include but are not limited to: Commercial Loan Accounting System (CLAS), Loan IQ, Agency Services Public Information Reporting System (Aspire) and Portal (loan syndication pipeline database).  Position will require direct interaction with Business Unit, Operations, Finance, Accounting Policy as well as other support areas and will assist in producing forecasts, budgets and ad hoc reporting to senior management or other business unit groupsRequirements: BS/BA in Accounting or Finance or CPA and either 5 - 7 years public accounting experience, preferably in financial services industry or equivalent working experience at an Investment Bank.  Candidate must demonstrate both a desire and capacity to learn new products, businesses, systems, applications.  Advanced use of Access/Excel or related applications a plus.  Strong interpersonal skills a must as role will require extensive interaction with other Finance and support staff.Please Apply Online: www.wachovia.com/careers.
