Principal Tax Associate

Title: Principal Tax Associate Level: Principal Associate (could vary from Senior Assoc to Manager) Location: McLean, VA A large Banking and Financial Services Company is seeking a Principal Tax Associate. Responsibilities for this role: Participate in the preparation of the federal consolidated tax return, state and local income and franchise tax returns, extensions and estimates  Participate in the preparation of the FAS109 tax provision calculation and FIN 48 analysis for financial statement purposes Participate in completing IRS and state tax audits, including preparing responses to requests for documentation and meeting with tax auditors to resolve issues  Respond to federal, state, and local tax notices received  Provide tax information and respond to questions generated from internal departments  Perform research and other tax projects as needed  Occasional day travel to Richmond, VA  Travel to other company sites as neededRequirements & Qualifications:• Bachelor's Degree • 1 year experience in tax or accountingPreferred Qualifications: • Tax experience in a public accounting or financial services environment strongly preferred • MS in Tax or JD • CPA • Strong communication, research and writing skills • Strong analytical skills developed through experience in an accounting, planning or forecasting role • The ability to work independently, develop new ideas and take ownership of projects • Open to looking at accounting professionals with ledger/debit & credit experience. To apply, please email your resume to shuang@talenthunter.net  and please include your salary requirement.   MRINetwork, one of the world's largest search and recruitment organizations, has over 1,000 offices in more than 35 countries.
