The incumbent is responsible for gathering financial information and preparing periodic reviews. He/she has a key role in monitoring credit performance, works with loan review and regulatory agencies and is responsible for managing the interface with Loan Administrators on a daily basis. This position supports the team in achieving high quality loan outstandings to new and existing customers, a portfolio risk profile consistent with Sovereign’s objectives and strong customer relationships through the sale of Sovereign’s fee based products and services. · Loan Management · Interpret financial information by reviewing the financial statement analysis. · Evaluate customer’s financial performance and ability to meet debt service under various economic conditions and its potential impact on the credit risk. · Prepare periodic reviews of existing loans through the analysis of financial statement projections, cash flow, industry and trend data in concert with Sovereign’s credit policies. · Work with Relationship Managers to determine the appropriate strategy for the credit. · Follow-up directly with customers to obtain and provide information to ensure the customer receives responses consistent with Sovereign’s service standards. · Credit Management · Monitor credit performance including financial analysis and reviews, compliance and collateral, delinquencies and credit problems to ensure the on-going soundness of the portfolio. Prepare credit policy compliance forms and status reports in a timely manner. · Risk rate the credit in conjunction with Relationship Manager and Sovereign’s credit policy. · With Relationship Manager, maintain satisfactory loan review rating. · Identify areas of loan risk and inform Relationship Manager of credit changes. · Manage the day-to-day interface with Loan Administration. · Customer Support · Provide high quality support directly to customers in order to establish and build strong customer relationships. · Work with business partners to deliver timely, accurate responses to customer inquiries. · Proactively respond to customer requests by providing Red Carpet service. · Applies a broad understanding of Sovereign’s products and services to cross selling opportunities with existing relationships. · Participate in customer meetings as requested by Relationship Managers. · Act as mentor to less experienced Portfolio Managers. · Participates in special projects as assigned.
