Plant Accountant I

  1.Purpose:  Support Raleigh Beverage Packaging Controller and Plant Accountant in the management of financial business goals through maintenance of accurate and timely financial transactions.   2.Key Accountabilities:   Ÿ  Provide Raleigh Plant managers with accurate plant sales data by ensuring all applicable sales transactions and customer receivables have been measured and verified, including credit returns and allowances.Ÿ  Ensure accurate financial data through timely follow up and reconciliation of daily and monthly sales volumes, to include monitoring aged receivables and finished goods inventories by customer.Ÿ  Assist with implementation and audit of internal controls.·  Reconcile customer rebate and freight accrual accounts.· Maintain communication between CIM inventory system and SAP through monitoring IDOC transactions   and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies between systems.·  Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on the production floor as the SAP Plant Coordinator to  include rebooting servers, printers, and monitor help tickets.  3.Key Challenges: ·  Â· The external environment, including technology, competition, markets: Â· ·  Assist with completion of self assessment audits to ensure compliance with International Paper · financial policies and controls.· ·  Monitor all customer aged receivables including credits issued and outstanding.· Develop technical skills to monitor technology between CIM inventory and SAP full suite. Â§  Â·  Â· The internal environment, including interaction with others, (both inside and outside the company) policies/practices:· Ability to monitor and reconcile customer aged receivables will require interaction between Customer Service, Credit, Sales, and Accounts Receivable departments.  · ·  This position is critical to ensure the accuracy of sales information through support of Customer Service, · Shipping, and Raleigh’s Quality Manager. Â§  o   Â· The work itself, e.g., problems, opportunities, change: Â· Participate in cross training with other critical accounting functions.· ·  Assume responsibility for all sales transactions and Raleigh accounts receivable.· Support hardware/software skills training of production team members. o   o   o  Company: Evergreen PackagingJob Title: Plant Accountant I Location: Raleigh, NC 27601 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Insurance Relevant Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Company: Evergreen Packaging
