Payroll Specialist - Call 714/662-1988 Now!Description: Are you experienced in all aspects of payroll? Are you looking for a position that starts right away? Volt Services Group is partnering with an excellent organization in the city of Tustin to help identify a payroll specialist in a temp to hire employment opportunity. Under general supervision this qualified individual will apply his/her knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures to interpret and apply company polices and government regulations in administration of payroll. Consul with and advise employee payroll and ensure full compliance with the wage/hour regulations, company policies and procedures as well. Responsible for accurate and timely data management of all employees in the HRIS and time/attendance systems. Candidate will process semi-monthly payroll for 500 corporate employees. Additional duties will include: verify time card accuracy, complete verifications of employment, process manual absence requests into system then file paper forms, manage employee questions related to payroll, HRIS data entry for new hire and termed employees. Will report to the Compensation and Benefits Manager within the Human Resources department. Must be capable of working independently, within an environment that includes many layers of supervision.If you possess the stated qualifications and the desire to demonstrate your skills for an industry leader, we want to hear from you! Must possess a solid understanding of payroll principles: wage and hour including FLSA regulations, taxes and wage attachments. Knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook is required. Knowledge of People-Soft experience is a plus. Solid verbal and written English communication skills required. Must have the ability to give and receive information accurately, along with the professional discipline to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality relative to personal and payroll data.
