Position Description:

Accounting firm seeking individual to prepare payroll and related tax filings.  Some accounting or quickbooks experience would also be helpful, but not required.  This position also includes data entry, mailings and typing for all of our firm.  This is a very demanding position that requires an individual who can work independently, has common sense, is reliable, and is able to work in a fast pased work environment.  The duties of this position will include but are not limited to the following:

Keeping controls on when payrolls need to be done and making sure they are done on a timely basis

Preparation of payrolls including related tax filings

Preparation of all other payroll filings and respond to notices and requests for information

Preparation of Quarterly and annual payroll tax reports

Setup of all new payroll clients

Additional areas of work to assist other staff

Preparation of Accounts Payable and Receivable

Backup on receptionist and data entry clerk

Filing as needed

Candidate must display the following competencies:

Proficency in payroll and related tax filings as well as MS Word and MS Excel
