Payroll Auditor
Responsible for auditing and reconciling payroll and payroll tax returns relating to union benefits for signatory companies with the Carpenters Union.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Schedule audits
Perform audit: review payroll registers, payroll tax returns, Union Reports, Cash Disbursements, projects list
Research discrepancies internally and / or with outside agencies
Discuss findings with client
Submit final reports to Supervisor
Monitor audit statuses
Record all billed / paid audits for yearend report.
Requirements
Travel within New England required, reliable car/own transportation a must.
Secondary education or college degree preferred.
Accounting or Payroll experience needed, as well as knowledge of payroll taxes.
Strong Word and Excel skills a must.
Self motivated, ability to work autonomously and with limited supervision
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to adapt to changes in schedule
Knowledge of Union benefits a plus
