Payroll Accounting Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY: Process, reconcile and manage the Payroll data and financial reporting for the chapters in the COE network. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Overall ownership of the COE Payroll process. 2. Process financial records to include all Payroll activity 3. Prepare account reconciliations, including accrual accounts 4. Maintain proper internal controls environment in Payroll 5. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline Payroll operation 6. Perform customer service role between COE and client chapters. 7. Assist in preparation of monthly budgets, financial statements and management reports for programs and grants. 8. Assist with preparation of work papers, required schedules, management and financial documentation for COE client audits. 9. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements:

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 1. Experience in ADP Pay eXpert and ezLabor Manager desired but not required 2. Experience with word processing, spreadsheet and computerized accounting programs. 3. Good organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. 4. Strong attention to detail. 5. Meets deadlines and objectives 6. The ability to work independently.
