Partner - Tax

SUMMARY
Manages and researches multiple tax projects. Responsible for scheduling, staffing and coordinating workflow. Reviews individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, and nonprofit federal, state, or local tax returns. Develops and trains staff by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Reviews and supervises the preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary and nonprofit tax returns.



Researches and assists staff with complex tax questions.



Reviews complex field tax provisions.



Identifies client service needs.



Identifies tax planning ideas for clients.



Maintains a thorough knowledge of tax planning and preparation software.



Prepares and reviews protests, etc.



Provides client service advice on tax and other business matters.



Represents clients before taxing bodies.



Adheres to time budgets.



Markets the Firm by attending functions and events that promotes the Firm with clients, potential clients and peers.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree from four year college or university; or four to ten years related experience and/or training. Master’s degree in tax or accounting a plus.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
CPA preferred.
