PRAN MID The Administrative Direct Hire Division of Staffing Now,Inc. is currently reviewing applications for a ITSupport Specialist . This position will be with anestablished Technology in South Broward, Florida. The ITSupport Specialist will report to the DRS InformationTechnology Manager.Responsibilities:-Technical troubleshooting of hardware and softwareissues courteously and expeditiously-Answer and appropriately handle incoming customersupport requests via phone, e-mail, voice mail, IM, andin-person requests. Escalate or transfer problems whenappropriate.-Document, track and monitor all problem/resolutionactivity in the tracking system to ensure a timelyresolution-Stage, configure and deploy new and existingdesktops/laptops/peripherals-Install basic PC software applications (MS OfficeSuite, Project, Visio, Acrobat, etc.)-First and second level support for personal computerupgrades and installations-Assist in hardware and software asset management-Assist in the hardware warranty repair process-Rotate after-hours support coverage with otherteammates-Continuous development of problem solving techniques,and the creation of more efficient support methods-Participate in team projects that enhance the qualityof the support service level, and promote technical andcareer growth-Assist in IT-related purchasing activities, such asshipping & receiving-Other IT-related operations, administration andmaintenance functions as requestedJob Requirements:-Technical Skills-Thorough understanding of PCs, peripherals andnetworking-Excellent understanding of help desk operations Workstyle-Excellent verbal and written communication skills withtechnical and non-technical staff and end-users-Excellent customer service skills, including empathiclistening skills-Strong teamwork skills to maintain strong workingrelationships within and outside IT, to develop aresults-oriented work environment.-Excellent follow-up skills to see tasks through toresolution, and communicate problem status to end userssuch as notification of completion, notification ofdelay, and explaining rationale.-Excellent analytical, problem solving, projectmanagement skills-Excellent organizational skills, prioritizing andmanaging multiple tasks-Offer and accept feedback and constructive suggestions-Ability to share knowledge, share work plans, teach,learn, and manage conflict-Ability to work independentlyProfessional experience:-One to three years experience in an IT supportenvironment.-Extensive knowledge in the following technologies:Microsoft Windows XP Professional, -Office Professional(Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), VPN andremote access clientsAdditional / Desired-Experience using and configuring:-RIM Blackberrys-Microsoft Internet Explorer-Adobe Acrobat Reader-Trend AntiVirus-3rd Party hosted E-Discovery review platforms (Zantaz,Ringtail, IConect, etc)Education and Certifications:-Bachelors degree-MCSE desirable-A+ desirable
