Order and Revenue Specialist

The Order and Revenue Specialist will be responsible for domestic and international order processing, and customer invoicing and collection. The Order and Revenue Specialist will evaluate transactions for proper revenue accounting. This position requires the ability to multi-task, attention to detail and cross functional collaboration. The position reports to the Revenue Manager.


Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·  Process domestic and international customer orders and generate invoices in multiple currencies,

·  Review, audit and verify order information for completeness and accuracy,

·  Review orders with the operations group to ensure orders can be processed and shipped, 

·  Match orders with shipment confirmations,

·  Follow up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates,

·  Qualify order discounts and ensure approval before processing,

·  Process authorized RMA's,

·  Review documentation and process orders for professional service and training engagements,

·  Review customer transactions and evaluate for revenue recognition,

·  Promptly, thoroughly and proactively respond to customer and internal order and invoice inquiries,

· Assist with the continual improvement of company procedures and processes,

· Assist in automating manual and paper intensive processes,

· Proactively contact customers and actively participate in invoice collection, and

· Participate and/or or complete special projects when necessary.

 

Required skills/experience

 Minimum of an Associates Degree, a Bachelors Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred,1-5 years of relevant experience,Familiarity with GAAP guidelines for revenue recognition (SOP 97-2, etc),Microsoft Great Plans and CRM experience a plus,Strong personal computer skills are essential, intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills required, Detail oriented and inherent drive for accuracy, Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment,Must be a “team player” with a “can-do” attitude and a solutions oriented personality, and Excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills required.
