Deloitte Tax's Multistate Tax Services ("Multistate Tax") team is the largest state and local tax practice in the United States, with more than 1,000 professionals nationwide. These professionals include former state tax auditors and administrators, industry personnel, tax practitioners, accounting specialists, and technology personnel with numerous years of multistate tax experience. Collectively, our team has significant experience with the requirements and nuances of jurisdictions in all 50 states. Multistate Tax professionals help our clients manage state tax liability and such challenges as states with unique tax laws, the enforcement focus of state departments of revenue, the growing number of tax audits, and increased merger and acquisition activity. Our specific services include business restructuring, credits and incentives, sales and use tax, sales and use tax outsourcing, property tax, state income and franchise tax, state strategic tax review, and state tax controversy.  We are currently seeking Multistate Tax Senior Consultants to join our team. Multistate Tax Senior Consultants have in-depth, first-hand experience in a wide range of industries. They draw on experience in accounting and taxation to provide compliance and consulting services to corporate and individual clients. Multistate Tax Senior Consultants identify complex tax issues and provide tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates. Multistate Tax Senior Consultants primary responsibilities include overseeing complex tax research projects for clients in diverse industries; research and analyze a wide range of tax issues and tax implications of financing techniques for a variety of entities and their affiliates. They may also undertake tax compliance assignments for current and former executives of client corporations and partners of client organizations. In addition, they assume tax-planning responsibilities for our corporate and individual clients. Multistate Tax Senior Consultants supervise assignments by the professional accountants serving as Tax Consultants. - Two or more years experience in preparing and reviewing client work papers and income tax returns, preferably within the Big 4 - Knowledge of managing projects including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence and billing. - Excellent presentation and communications skills - Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other business related field - CPA desired About DeloitteDeloitte refers to one or more of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, a Swiss Verein, and its network of member firms, each of which is a legally separate and independent entity.
