Mortgage Controller

Plum Rhino Consulting has an exciting direct hire Mortgage Controller position in Memphis, TN.

 

The Selected candidate will be responsible for the following.

 

 Direct the activities and personnel of the accounting department to provide accurate financial statements, forecasts, investment reports, controls and accounting of financial resources. Under policy guidance of the CFO, CEO and COO, direct all accounting activities (or in a subsidiary/ private company with no treasury function all financial activities including ledger and mortgage accounting.) Ensure preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, forecasts, investment reports and other data. Develop and administer approved accounting and tax policies. Keep abreast of federal, state and local tax and reporting requirements.Manage the accounting function including G/L, payables/receivables and other financial planning/ budgeting activities.

 

Requirements:

 Strong accounting background3 years experience in a management capacity, typically in a financial institution. Prior experience working in a public accounting financial area.College degree in finance or accounting is required.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
