Medical Billing Specialist

Neighborhood Diabetes is a rapidly growing, ten year old company in the medical supply field (diabetes supplies in particular), looking to add enthusiastic, capable and hard-working members to our growing team.  We have a unique approach that truly “helps to make a differenceâ€� in the lives of people with diabetes.

 

We are looking for a Full-Time Medical Billing Specialist who will work under the direction of Billing Manager; this position requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and be detail oriented. Familiarity with medical billing, coding and collections is required and experience working in a medical billing office is preferred.

 

 The ideal candidate has an understanding of reimbursement requirements and guidelines and is comfortable communicating with insurance companies in resolving billing issues, and is able to respond to telephone inquiries and complaints in a prompt, accurate and courteous manner.  In addition to daily tasks, special projects will be assigned; the ability to work under minimal supervision and the capability to multi-task are a must. 

 

Qualifications:2-3 years medical billing experienceBachelor’s degree is preferred

 

This is a Monday thru Friday, full-time position. Compensation includes a competitive salary and an attractive benefit package (after a brief probationary period).
