Market Risk Manager - Credit Products
Senior credit trading market risk manager for a global investment bank
Responsibilities:
· Determination of the daily risk position, ensuring completeness in capturing all risk positions on the desk
· Setting limits and monitoring of risk positions against these market risk limits, (both DVaR and non DVaR limits)
· Informing senior management of all significant market risks, material limit excesses and general market trends or developments
· Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis and stress tests of risk positions on the desk
· Challenging, where appropriate, market risk and model risk existing on the desk
· Perform stress tests to determine circumstances under which the businesses would incur material losses
· Identify possible weaknesses in the DVAR methodology, implement non-DVAR risk measures to capture these risks and monitor them on an on-going basis
· Work with the business to establish a risk management framework and risk models for any new business lines/products
· Make hedging recommendations to enhance return on capital
Requirements:
· 5+ years Credit Trading Market Risk experience within an investment bank.
· Strong knowledge of US Flow/prop non-correlation credit products, HY, HG, Distressed, Special situations, loans.
· Stress testing, limit setting, broad VAR methodology exposure
· Good communication skills. Daily interaction with traders / senior managers
· Strong IT skills including Excel, VBA and familiarity with databases (MS Access, SQL preferred)
