The key is finding the right people for each position…individuals who share our passion for excellence and professionalism.  We now seek a Market Accountant to take direct responsibility for an $80 million dollar business unit, performing critical market and performance analyses of multiple decentralized locations and providing support for financial projects. This position will prepare and analyze financial statements; handle a range of accounting functions, such as bank reconciliations, FAS records and disposals, month-end reports and general ledger; and meet all internal and external reporting needs, such as capital expenditures, sales tax returns and monthly run rate analysis. Duties will include maintaining accounting controls for multiple business units; identifying process improvement opportunities; troubleshooting accounting issues, and providing assistance and expertise in the development of annual budgets. Qualified candidates will have: 3+ years’ public accounting experience and/or a financial analysis background in the corporate offices of a large company Bachelor’s degree in accounting (MBA preferred) Demonstrated analytical, audit and research documentation skills Thorough knowledge of monthly closing and financial statement preparation processes Proficiency with applications for general ledger accounting, financial reporting, fixed asset and Windows-based spreadsheet and word processing applications Excellent multi-tasking and verbal/written communication skills CPA designation a definite plus Apple American Group offers competitive compensation, a generous benefits package and rewarding career opportunities with ample room for growth.
