Manager of Financial Reporting and Analysis

Overall responsibility for coordination and preparation of monthly financial statements, Board mailings, quarterly and annual regulatory filings and annual audits. Job Responsibilities:1. Assist Controller and Director of Finance in all financial reporting and analysis areas. 2. Manage external GAAP and Statutory reporting requirements. 3. Provide technical and administrative direction to accounting staff ensuring that all accounting activities are completed efficiently and effectively, in accordance with reporting rules and regulations. 4. Responsible for the preparation of monthly external financial statements, including Management’s Discussion Analysis, accompanying schedules, worksheets and narratives. 5. Preparation and maintenance of supporting audit work papers and documentation. 6. Coordination and review of requests and inquiries from regulators and internal sources, research and interpretations of internal control policies and procedures, new reporting requirements and accounting pronouncements.7.  Review accounting/reporting policies and procedures for effectiveness and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, includes research of regulatory issues, statutes and compliance issues.8.  Liaison with external auditors for coordination and completion of financial schedules and analyses required for completion of the annual audit.9. Participate in special projects to ensure financial accounting, regulatory reporting, and company-wide financial issues are properly identified and addressed in a timely manner.10.  Responsible for other tasks and analyses as required by Controller and Director of Finance.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA required. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of healthcare industry experience. Previous SEC reporting experience and considerable Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred. Technical accounting and research skills are required Strong analytical and planning skills Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, manage and continuously reprioritize projects and competing priorities, and effectively operate in a complex organization. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and conflict management skills. Ability to work efficiently and achieve results, while maintaining high quality.
