Manager of Financial Reporting

Our client, a large, publicly-traded global organization with sales of over $10B, is looking for an eager Manager of External Financial Reporting.  This position will supervise staff and will be focused on the technical side of accounting as well as compliance with FASB, SEC and GAAP requirements.

 

The Manager of Financial Reporting will be responsible for the following:Overseeing and preparing SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and related footnotesResearching and resolving technical and general accounting issuesOverseeing a staff of 2 and ensuring their accurate and efficient completion of SEC related tasksAnalyzing the impact and managing the implementation of new accounting standards and proceduresCompleting special projects and ad-hoc analysis on an as needed basis

The Manager of Financial Reporting must possess the following minimum requirements:Bachelors degree in Accounting, preferably coupled with a CPA 4 - 8 years of technical accounting experience; Big 4 public accounting experience is strongly preferredStrong knowledge of GAAP, FASB and SEC requirements, as well as the ability to research and implement new standards and requirementsSuperior oral and written communication skills and the ability to interface with staff on all levelsHigh level of familiarity with Microsoft Office, knowledge of SAP and/or Hyperion is a plus
