The Manager of Finance Applications Support provides technical direction in support of Finance and Administration business strategies. Serves as the primary expert on reporting, application support, user acceptance testing and related technical needs. Defines business unit reporting and systems needs, and liaisons between the Finance and Administration user group and the appropriate IT groups. Is an advocate for the Finance and Administration group for appropriate systems strategy, and provides direction to the IT group in support of deliverables. Responsibilities: Drive financial systems reporting strategy, and participate in all phases of the lifecycle including business requirements gathering, functional and technical specifications and analysis, testing, implementation, training Serve as the primary reporting expert in Finance and facilitate deliverables Implement quality control measures to validate the accuracy of report data. Include processes for trouble-shooting and correcting errors Act as Project Manager for IT-related Finance initiatives Work collaboratively with internal business partners, IT groups, and outside vendors to drive the technical needs of the Finance department Supervise a team responsible for business unit technical support of Finance systems, such as ad-hoc reporting, user-acceptance testing, screen changes, menu modifications, etc. Work with IT staff to coordinate the loading of all software patches, upgrades, system maintenance, etc. Create scripts to automate processes Create and maintain customary documentation for all technical implementations Qualifications: Advanced degree or equivalent work experience required Experience in gathering requirements and creating technical documentation Knowledge of user-acceptance testing best practices SQL, data mapping and validation skills Ability to translate business requests into reporting and analytical deliverables Experience in building reports using MSSQL and reporting services that integrate data from multiple environments Expert knowledge of MS Project, MS Word, Excel, Access, Visio Ability to translate technical terms into business terms and vice versa ERP system experience desired Programming experience a plus Understand computer systems, hardware and software development lifecycles Strong negotiation skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organization, analytical and problem solving skills Effective vendor relationship management Willing to travel to Moss Adams offices and business conferences as needed Prior supervisory experience required Please visit our careers website to upload your resume and apply.Moss Adams is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
