Manager of External Reporting
MANAGER OF EXTERNAL REPORTING Manager of External Reporting Fortune sized company is seeking a Manager of External Reporting. Responsibilities to include: · Ensure the complete, accurate and timely submission of all external financial reporting information.· Lead the development of all SEC quarterly and annual financial reports, including all reporting for the separate business unit registrants.· Interpret GAAP guidelines including FASB, EITF, and SEC pronouncements and determine their effect on financial reporting matters. · Provide support for the Controller as well as the Director of Reporting and Policy.· Liason with external auditors, external and internal legal counsel and other internal reporting constituents on SEC reporting matters.· Coordinates and interacts regularly with Controller, Legal, Regulatory, Investor Relations, Treasury, HR, Secretary Manage reporting staff· Work with Internal Audit and Controller to ensure effective disclosure controls and effective internal controls over financial reporting Qualifications to include: CPA required. Minimum eight to ten years relevant experience such as SEC reporting, accounting, accounting research, mergers and acquisitions, etc. Big 4 experience preferred. Demonstrated responsibility for the analysis, interpretation and implementation of accounting pronouncements. Internal accounting controls acumen. Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret financial statements and results. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proven ability to tailor communication of financial/business information (verbal and written) to targeted audience. Proven ability to lead in the interpretation of difficult accounting pronouncements. Creative thinking to lead in the implementation of improvements to the workflow processes.
